Today: 🇩🇪 Germany Closes Eurovision 2026 Song Submissions

Today is the last day for songs to be submitted to represent Germany at the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Today is the last day that songs can be submitted to the German broadcaster SWR for the nation’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Once song submissions close, the national selection participants will be determined across a number of rounds. In the first round, the editorial team at SWR will assess the submissions on ‘artistic and vocal quality’.

Then the entries will be assessed by international expert jurors and members of the public across Europe to simulate voting in the Eurovision Song Contest. From the results of the international voting, a shortlist of acts will be chosen, from which the acts competing to represent Germany in Vienna will be selected. The German national final will be held in late February and broadcast live on Das Erste.

Abor & Tynna represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song “Baller”. They finished 15th scoring a total of 151 points.
