Israel: HaKokhav Haba to premiere on November 11!

HaKokhav Haba will once again serve as the selection process of the Israeli representative in Eurovision 2026. Excluding 2022 and 2023, all representatives since 2015 have been selected through HaKokhav Haba, with some very impressive results, including Netta’s win in 2018.

With filming having already started in Neve Ilan Studios by October, it is now revealed that the new season will premier on November 11, commencing the beginning of the Israeli journey in Eurovision 2026.

Rotem Sela and Assi Azar, one of the hosts of Eurovision 2019, will once again be the hosts of the show. Since the very first season in 2013, Assi Azar was one of the hosts, with Rotem Sela joining him the year after. After Ran Danker’s withdrawal, the judge panel is consisted of:
  • Assaf Amdursky
  • Keren Peles
  • Shiri Maimon
  • Eden Hasson
  • Itay Levy
Throughout the season, guest judges will appear on stage, including Netta, Dana International, as well as last year’s winner, Yuval Raphael.

Their combined vast and varied experience guarantees a competitive edition that is both intriguing and difficult—certainly more so than the one from last season.

Last year’s winner and Israel’s representative in Eurovision 2025, was Yuval Raphael, who performed the song “New Day Will Rise” on Basel’s stage, and ended up in second place:
