9.1 Executive officers shall be elected by members by a vote conducted in accordance with
Article 7. Elections shall take place no later than 28 days before the expiry of an officer’s
term.

9.2 Any member in good standing who has been a member for at least 90 days at the date
nominations close shall be eligible to stand for election to any Executive role.

9.3 Nominations shall be open for a period of not less than 14 days. Nominations must be
submitted in writing to the COO and must be accompanied by a brief statement of
candidacy.

9.4 Where only one eligible candidate is nominated for a role, that candidate shall NOT be
deemed elected automatically. A confirmatory vote of members shall be held in accordance
with the procedures in Article 7. The candidate’s nomination statement shall be circulated to
all members before the vote opens. The candidate shall be confirmed in the role if a simple
majority of valid votes cast are in favour of their appointment. If the confirmatory vote does
not return a majority in favour, the Executive shall co-opt a member to fill the role in
accordance with Article 8.3 whilst fresh nominations are sought for a second election.

9.5 Where no eligible candidate is nominated, the Executive shall have power to co-opt a
member to fill the role in accordance with Article 8.3 whilst nominations are sought.

9.6 At the first elections following the adoption of this Constitution, the founding Executive
members who currently hold office shall be deemed to have been duly elected and their terms shall run for three years from the date this Constitution is adopted. Subsequent
elections shall follow the procedures in this Article.
