The following Founding Principles are the permanent foundation of the Community.
Subject only to the limited transition provision in Article 4.6, they may not be removed,
weakened, or overridden by any resolution of the members, the Executive, or any other body
of the Community. Any purported amendment that would weaken or remove a Founding
Principle shall be void and of no effect.
Principle I — The Free Tier
There shall ALWAYS be a free tier of membership available to any person who wishes to
join the Community. No minimum financial contribution shall ever be required as a condition
of basic membership. This principle may not be altered regardless of the Community’s
financial circumstances.
Principle II — Political Neutrality
The Community is and shall forever remain a safe space for fans. As an organisation, the
Community will NEVER take a political position, endorse political parties or candidates, or
allow its official platforms, communications, or name to be used to advocate for any political
cause or movement. This applies to the Executive, community managers, and any individual
acting in a representative capacity on behalf of the Community.
Principle II(a) — Member Discussion: Whilst the Community itself holds no political positions,
members may engage in civil, respectful discussion of topics where political factors directly
intersect with Eurovision — for example, national voting patterns, broadcasting rights,
national selection processes, or EBU membership matters. Such discussion must remain
non-partisan, factual, and directly relevant to Eurovision and its conduct. Discussion of
government policy, international conflicts, or political movements not directly relevant to
Eurovision is not permitted on Community platforms. The Executive and Community
Managers shall use their reasonable judgement to moderate Community spaces
accordingly.
Principle III — Collaboration
The Community will collaborate openly and constructively with other fan groups and
organisations for the benefit of all Eurovision and music fans. Competition with, or exclusivity
against, other legitimate fan organisations is contrary to the spirit of this Principle.
Principle IV — United by Music
The Community is, and shall forever remain, united by music. Our shared love of Eurovision
and music is the foundation of everything we do. No sectarian, discriminatory, or divisive
agenda shall ever take precedence over this unifying purpose.
Principle V — Inclusive Mission
The Community’s Mission Statement may be updated from time to time by resolution of the
Executive, subject to ratification by a simple majority of votes cast at a General Meeting, to
reflect the growth and evolution of the Community. However, the Mission Statement shall at
all times be consistent with and subordinate to the Founding Principles set out in this Article.

4.6 Transition Provision (Incorporation Only)
The sole exception to the immutability of the Founding Principles is where the Community
resolves to incorporate as a Company Limited by Guarantee or Community Interest
Company under English law in accordance with Article 26. In that circumstance only, the
Founding Principles may be restated in the new entity’s Articles of Association, provided
that:
• No restatement may weaken, remove, or reduce the protection afforded by any
Founding Principle or alter its fundamental intent;
• The restatement is approved by not less than 75% of valid votes cast by members at
a General Meeting convened specifically for the purpose of approving the
incorporation;
• The restatement is reviewed by a qualified solicitor before adoption to confirm it
preserves the substance of each Principle;
• Members are given not less than 28 days’ notice of the proposed restatement,
together with a side-by-side comparison of the existing and proposed wording.
This transition provision does not create a general power to amend the Founding Principles.
It applies exclusively to the restatement of the Principles in the context of a structural
incorporation, and may not be used for any other purpose.
